Impressions

It can be reached in less than an hour by car from the agglomeration of Zurich, and if you drive over the last hilltop in front of the crystal-clear mountain lake, you’ll feel like you’re in British Columbia, overlooking the Glarus Prealps.

The Obersee is at the same time an insider tip for fishermen who use the fly rod or the heavy cone to fish for trout and Egli. Visitors can watch the fishermen directly over the rod tip on the pram-friendly promenade around the lake.

Picnic or brunch buffet at the Obersee: Immediately by the mountain lake is a pretty hotel with a rich offer for hikers, fishermen and walkers who prefer the comfortable restaurant table to a picnic at a self-built fireplace, while the younger family members may let off steam in the playground.
