Furggelenstock, CH

The Furggelenstock (1,656 m) is a mountain of the Swiss Prealps, located west of Oberiberg in the canton of Schwyz. It lies on the range surrounding Alpthal.

The tour to the Furggelenstock is more for those who are looking for a hiking experience away from the busy routes. The circular hike from Brunni to Furggelenstock has retained its rustic identity. Pure nature and a rustic alpine landscape round off the traditional hiking experience.

You may combine the hike on the Holzegg with an ascent of the Great Myth (T3). Then add another 2.5 hours. A second expansion option is a short 20-minute detour to Rotenflue (1571 m) on the way from Holzegg to Zwäcken. The hiking trails and variants are marked.
