Our Tour
You will reach Curnius by taking the chairlift from Laax or Falera valley station. Curnius is the starting point of this hike. A few meters above the mountain station, you walk further past the area Sut Crappa below the big rock. You then follow the direction to the Alp Dado, past Tegia Miez with its sundeck and the little water reservoir Lag Falerin. Shortly after having passed the reservoir, you will reach Crap Sogn Gion. Before the descent back to Laax, you will have the opportunity to take a break at the GaLAAXy and enjoy the fabulous mountain view.
The Crap Sogn Gion summit station GaLAAXy, at 2,228 metres above sea level, is the lynchpin of the Flims Laax Falera ski resort, and underwent a facelift. Some parts of the 50 year old building were completely redesigned and the range of culinary options also got improved. Visitors often refer to the building as a spaceship and you might go there starting from LAAX – hence the slogan for the new direction, GaLAAXy.
The redesign created a totally new look for the bare spaces and impassive walls, with colour, different styles, plants and amusing details throughout the building. Among the unique design features include an old Coca-Cola dispenser as a toilet door, and a well-worn parquet floor from the Dolder Grand Hotel in Zurich. Neon signs offer words of wisdom for the guests and in the very special sticker shop, visitors are able to personalise T-shirts and more. A small cinema offers guests a place to relax, while the Radio GaLAAXy playlist ensures the perfect mood.
