Engelstock, CH

The Sattel-Hochstuckli area, nestled into the alpine foothills of Schwyz, offers its guests a perfect summer and winter adventure and provides a really special cable-car experience: “Stuckli Rondo” has been the first cable-car in the world to have revolving gondolas.

Impressions

From the Mostelberg mountain station you will literally walk around Engelstock mountain on a perfectly groomed (winter) walking trail, accompanied by fantastic panoramic views of the southern Alps. From the Mythen to the Fronalpstock and the Niederbauen all the way to the Pilatus – and far into the southern Alps, when the weather is clear.

If you feel like it, you can walk across Europe’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge at the end, the “Raiffeisen Skywalk” for a special thrill! The pedestrian suspension bridge “Raiffeisen Skywalk” is the highlight of the Sattel-Hochstuckli adventure area. Visitors enjoy the experience of being on a suspension bridge on Europe’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge – which is 374 meters long and 58 meters high. The “Raiffeisen Skywalk” can be easily combined with circular hiking tours. It is also wheelchair- and stroller-friendly.

In Summer, you may not want to miss the “Stuckli Run” summer sledging run (with steep-sided bends and tunnels), the jumping paradise of “Stuckli Jump” (trampoline and bouncy castle) and the Engelstock adventure trail, the starting point for walks and hikes to the mountain restaurants. In Winter, the region becomes a family-friendly winter sports area with 14 km of slopes and 20 km of cross-country ski tracks. For sledgers, careering from the Mostelberg to Sattel is a real adventure (and the run is even open at night on certain dates). Snow-shoe tours make for a wonderful day in the snow which may be rounded off with a fondue or “moonlight” menu.
